BAPTISM

The Book of Mark, Chapter 10 (New International Version)

1 Jesus then left that place and went into the region of Judea and across the Jordan. Again crowds of people came to him, and as was his custom, he taught them.

13 People were bringing little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them, but the disciples rebuked them.14 When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 15 Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” 16 And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them.

The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod performs baptisms for people of all ages. The Church believes that infant baptism, however, is the best time to welcome a child into God’s family. Please contact the pastor prior to the child’s birth or shortly after the child’s birth at the church office (630.257.5000) to schedule an appointment to discuss an upcoming baptism and fill out a Baptismal Information Form.

Baptism is a requirement prior to eighth grade confirmation and adult confirmation. If you or your child have yet to be baptized, we encourage you to contact the pastor at the church office to schedule an appointment.
